About Me
Hi, I’m Victoria! I’m a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the Midwest who loves all things whimsical and enchanting. I’m a chronic pain girlie, dyslexic writer, self proclaimed Barbie Embalmer, a funeral service professional who adores my work as a caregiver to the deceased and their loved ones, and I’m obsessed with all things mortuary science!
I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for my pre-mortuary science education, and graduated from the Des Moines Area Community College Mortuary Science Program with an Advanced Standing Diploma in Mortuary Science. My embalming soundtracks typically include Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan, my favorite scrub cap has unicorns and rainbows on it, and I always embalm in pink scrubs!
I enjoy weaving a dash of coziness, charm, and magic into my stories about the funeral industry. I hope to create a comfortable space for readers to explore death and grief, am passionate about advocating for women and LGBTQ+ professionals in mortuary science, and want to share an honest and candid experience of what being a funeral service professional means to me.
Welcome to my whimsical, cozy, comfy, pastel goth space! I’m so excited to have you here, and to share about my writing journey!
